03/30/2024 Tulum, Quintana Roo.- The tragic discovery of the body of photographer Ana Nani Victoria Ávila, affectionately known as “Nani”, has shocked all of Argentina and Mexico.

The young 28-year-old photographer, originally from Córdoba, Argentina, had mysteriously disappeared last Wednesday, March 27th, triggering an intense search by her family, friends and local authorities.

It was last Friday when a group of fishermen saw her body floating off the beach of Tulum, Quintana Roo. They immediately notified the local authorities, triggering a search and rescue operation to recover the body of the young photographer.

The discovery of Nani Ávila’s naked body in the sea, between Playa del Carmen and Cancún, has left everyone in shock.

According to the first reports, fishermen noticed the presence of the body in the water, and immediately notified the authorities. In turn, the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) launched a search and rescue operation, following the report of possible drowning.

From the Secretariat of Citizen Security of the State of Quintana Roo they shared a video of the search and rescue operation following the “report of a drowning.” For now, the circumstances in which the young woman lost her life have not been established, nor has the cause of her death.

With the support of private vessels, the location where the body was found was monitored and the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Quintana Roo was notified.

Nani Ávila decided to venture to Mexico in December of last year, where she found work as a photographer in the Riviera Maya.
