A woman was executed by gunfire this afternoon while inside her home in the irregular Valle Verde neighborhood, 800 meters from José López Portillo Avenue.
After hearing the shots, neighbors called the emergency number 911. Municipal police officers and paramedics from the Red Cross arrived at the scene and confirmed that the woman no longer had vital signs.
The victim suffered at least five gunshot wounds: one to the head, another to the neck, and additional wounds to the chest, arm, and one of her legs.
The municipal police cordoned off the area, and personnel from the National Guard and the Army also arrived.
Later, forensic experts and the ministerial police in charge of femicides took over the investigation and transported the body to the Forensic Medical Service facilities.
