Currently, the beaches on streets 6, 8, 10, 28, 38, Constituyentes, Pelicanos, and Golondrinas are in green. The beaches on streets 2, 4, 40, 72, 88, Caribe, Cisne, Xcalacoco, and Montecarlo have a yellow traffic light, and the beaches on streets 12, 14, 16, and Punta Esmeralda are marked in orange. None of them have a red traffic light, which indicates an abundant presence of sargassum.
Visitors and citizens are encouraged to follow the recommendations established by local authorities, including picking up trash and protecting wildlife to preserve the natural environment1.
