21 flights canceled at the Cancun airport due to a winter storm in the US and Canada

The current weather conditions in the neighboring country made it necessary to reschedule flights.

The Cancun International Airport closed the day with a total of 21 canceled flights from the United States and Canada due to the winter storm that affects that country, according to Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste.

The social communication department of the Cancun International Airport confirmed that 11 arrival flights were canceled as well as 10 departure flights. However, the current weather conditions in the neighboring country made it necessary to reschedule these flights.

As for the arrival and departure flights that were suspended, they originated from the cities of Toronto, Vancouver, Baltimore, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Hamilton, Seattle and Newark.

In the United States, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), airlines suspended more than 4,400 flights last Friday.
