PLAYA DEL CARMEN, Quintana Roo.- A minor girl drowned yesterday afternoon when she went swimming almost in front of Señor Frogs beach, next to the Navega dock in Playa del Carmen.
The minor was swept away by the strong waves and several people came to rescue her, but when they took her out they could do nothing for her because she had died from drowning.
Despite being the Easter holiday season and although Señor Frogs beach is one of the most central and busiest, there were no lifeguards in the area.
