This is the transportation service that will be available at the Tulum Airport

The opening of the Tulum Airport is just around the corner and announcements have been made about various aspects of the future airport.

Which airlines will initially be operating out of the airport, what the on-site Maya Train station will look like, and when operations will begin have all been among those announcements.

But the most recent announcement has revealed that the popular and affordable ADO bus transport service will be available at the upcoming Tulum Airport too.

ADO Bus in Cancun, Mexico

The ADO Intercity Bus System

The ADO intercity bus system is an inexpensive and convenient way to get around not only Tulum but throughout much of the Mexican Caribbean.

There are three different classes of buses, one of which is pretty luxurious, but even the lower grade, most commonly used bus is comfortable enough.

Taking an ADO bus is inexpensive as well, with tickets from Cancun to Tulum going for less than $20, and tickets from Cancun to Playa del Carmen for less than $13.

ADO At Tulum Airport

ADO will likely operate at Tulum Airport similarly to how it works at Cancun Airport.

In Cancun, there are ADO bus stations in three of the airport’s terminals, so visitors can arrive at the airport and head straight to the bus station.

Because the buses are so popular, though, tickets are known to sell out, so it’s suggested to book in advance, and there is a good chance that it will be just as popular at Tulum Airport.
