Cancun.- Quintana Roo and the destinations of the Mexican Caribbean stood out this year among the favorites of world travelers, as reflected in Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice 2023.
This year the destinations of Quintana Roo stand out with 30 positions in 14 of the categories of these awards that award “the best of the best” among destinations, hotels, restaurants and other activities, according to travelers. North Beach in Isla Mujeres is among the best in the world according to this ranking.
These distinctions strengthen the new tourism model promoted by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa, who contemplates that success is reflected in the pockets of the workers.
Likewise, it responds to the objectives of the New Agreement for the Well-being and Development of Quintana Roo that seeks shared prosperity for all, according to the profound transformation for which Governor Mara Lezama works 24/7.
As every year, Tripadvisor rewards “the best of the best” among destinations, hotels, restaurants and other activities around the world according to the opinion of the travelers who use this platform, based on reviews and ratings of each one of them. The winners, so far, this year, are the result of the experiences of 2022 and Tripadvisor will publish them periodically.
The Mexican Caribbean stands out in most of these categories, ranking in more than one position in each of them.
The most popular destinations in the world have Cancun at number 6 and Playa del Carmen at number 11. In the category of the most popular destinations in Mexico, Cancun is in first place, Playa del Carmen second, Tulum fifth, Costa Mujeres seventh and Cozumel eighth.
