Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa has announced a new flight route from London to Cancun, operated by Virgin Atlantic. This development is the result of efforts by the Quintana Roo delegation at the World Trade Market.
The flight is scheduled to begin operations at the end of 2025. Governor Lezama highlighted that this new route is an excellent opportunity to enhance global connectivity and attract more tourists to discover the beauty of the Mexican Caribbean in this New Era of Tourism.
“This tourism success will bring more shared prosperity, promoted by this humanist government with a feminist heart, and will position Quintana Roo as one of the world’s preferred destinations,” said Governor Lezama. She emphasized that Quintana Roo welcomes tourists with open arms, saying, “Come, we are already waiting for you.”
The Secretary of Tourism of Quintana Roo also noted that the World Trade Market has been crucial in strengthening air connectivity, promoting the state’s 12 tourist destinations, and consolidating strategic alliances that directly benefit the growth of the tourism industry in the Mexican Caribbean.
