IMSS Hospital Ceiling Collapses in Cancún: VIDEO

A water leak caused the ceiling of the emergency area of the General Regional Hospital 17 of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in Cancún, Quintana Roo, to collapse.

A video circulating on social media shows the ceiling of the building located in the Región 509 neighborhood falling due to water accumulation.

The liquid falls near the area where the patients were in bed, which has generated indignation among the beneficiaries.

Additionally, the image shows that some workers are collaborating to move the beds and prevent the patients from suffering due to this incident.

Xóchitl Gálvez Reacts to the Ceiling Collapse at IMSS in Cancún

So far, the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) has not issued any statement about this situation, however, there have been reactions from the beneficiaries who have accused that this event highlights the failures in the institute.

For her part, Xóchitl Gálvez, candidate for the Presidency by the coalition Fuerza y Corazón por México, reacted on her account of X, formerly Twitter.

“This is the ‘Denmark-like’ health system that @Claudiashein (Claudia Sheinbaum) wants to continue with.”
