TULUM, MX.- Shortly before midnight on Friday, an irregular neighborhood in Tulum was the object of an attack by hitmen, in which three people immediately lost their lives and another was injured.
The events occurred on Kukulcan street, within the Riviera Tulum subdivision, the neighbors called the police after hearing about 20 shots.
Once the authorities were alerted of the event, they went to the place to carry out the corresponding procedures.
The area was cordoned off to avoid contamination and the criminal experts were in charge of removing the bodies and transferring the injured person to the nearest clinic, then taken to the Playa del Carmen hospital where he will receive the necessary medical attention.
It is important to highlight that the irregular colonia of Tulum has been the object of attention from the local authorities in the past due to security problems and lack of infrastructure.
Earlier, this same Friday, in the middle of the mangrove swamp, at kilometer 6.5 of the Tulum-Boca Paila highway, between the Coco Limited hotel and the Tatich Beach Club in the hotel zone, the body of a person wrapped in a tarp was found with traces of torture and with a shot to the head.
So far this year, there have been 32 executions in Tulum, 18 of which have occurred in the last 22 days.
