Authorities have arrested at least a dozen people for their suspected involvement in the burning of 11 vehicles in Playa del Carmen and Tulum on February 22, following the murder in Jalisco of Nemesio Oseguera, alias “El Mencho,” leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
The Quintana Roo Attorney General’s Office (FGE) reported that on Thursday they arrested Miguel Ángel “N,” alias “El Negro”; Jorge Luis “N,” alias “Wacho”; Walter Andrés “N”; Rodrigo Yahir “N,” alias “Manitas”; Ricardo “N,” alias “Gato”; and Camilo “N,” alias “Chino,” initially for suspected drug trafficking.
