Jaguar Park in Tulum has recently opened its doors, generating much anticipation. Here’s what you need to know about the admission prices for national visitors.
Official Opening
The park officially began operations on December 5, as announced by the Olmeca Maya Mexica Airport, Railway, Auxiliary and Related Services Group. This group is responsible for the park’s management, operation, and the maintenance and protection of the surrounding natural area.
Park Features
Jaguar Park spans over 1,000 hectares and aims to protect and safeguard the jaguar. The project, with an investment exceeding 2,659 million pesos, includes:
– A museum
– Seven entrances to public beaches
– Two viewing points
– Service modules
– A smoke kitchen
– Connection to the Mayan Train station
– An expanded Tulum Archaeological Zone with 2 kilometers of routes
– A 2-kilometer bicycle path
– A perimeter fence
– Two service modules
– A station for electric buses
– Visitor centers
– A forum
– Pedestrian and animal crossings
– An observation tower
– Administrative, service, and reflection areas
Admission Prices
With the park’s opening, visitors now face higher rates to enjoy its attractions. The total cost of access can exceed $600 pesos in some cases. As of December 3, 2024, the rates for national visitors are:
– Base entrance (CONANP): $80 MXN
– Additional fee (Jaguar Park): $195 MXN
– Access to the archaeological zone: $90 MXN
– Total: $365 MXN
