200 cyclists participate in the Gran Fondo World Tour held in Playa del Carmen

For the first time, the Gran Fondo World Tour was held in Latin America, specifically in Playa del Carmen and Puerto Morelos, with the participation of more than 200 semi-professional and professional cyclists.

At noon, cyclists who participated in the Medio Fondo (100 kilometers) and Gran Fondo (160 kilometers) began to arrive at the Plaza Cívica 28 de Julio, where they were awarded their participation medal.

In the women’s representation, the first places in the Gran Fondo went to Alexia Zetina in first place, Wendy Patrón in second and Wendy Cervantes in third place. In the men’s branch Álan Carrillo with first place, Humberto Antonio Moreno Bustamante in second place and third Oscar Carreón

The departure of the Gran Fondo World Tour, was the Fifth Avenue of Playa del Carmen and was headed by the municipal president Lili Campos Miranda and the award ceremony was led by Jerry Alton, organizing member of the event, as well as the general secretary Kira Iris and the secretary of Tourism, Samaria Angulo.

World Tour Mexico cyclists will travel more than 100 kilometers of the Quintana Roo jungle

A total of 100 kilometers of jungles in Quintana Roo will be traveled by cyclists who will participate in the Gran Fondo World Tour Mexico, which will take place on April 23.

For the first time, Mexico will be part of the semi-professional and amateur cycling circuit Gran Fondo World Tour GFWT), based in the municipalities of Solidarity and Puerto Morelos in the Mexican Caribbean. The Gran Fondo World Tour consists of 20 races held on 4 continents.
