On November 1, Grupo Xcaret will share with Mexico and the world its iconic Festival of Life and Death Traditions with the premiere of a production that shows the tribute and celebration that the company carries out to one of the most emblematic traditions of Mexico.

With the aim of continuing to commemorate the traditions of Mexico, Grupo Xcaret, a leader in sustainable tourism recreation, will share a tribute to its emblematic Festival of Life and Death Traditions on the Xcaret Park YouTube channel. Through an audiovisual production that will be released this November 1, the company will show Mexico and the world the history and celebration it carries out to one of the most emblematic traditions of our country: the Day of the Dead.

“A few months ago we made the decision to postpone the realization of the events that we had scheduled for this year, including the Festival of Life and Death Traditions, with the commitment to safeguard the well-being of each of our visitors, collaborators, and guests, attending to the security measures issued by the World Health Organization to avoid high attendance events. However, we seek a way to reinvent ourselves to keep this tradition alive, considered a masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity, and share it with all of Mexico and the world thanks to technology, which, despite the distance, allows us to be closer than ever,” assured Lizeth Álvarez Commercial Executive Director of Grupo Xcaret.

The compilation video of the festival will premiere on November 1 at 7:00 p.m. (Cancun time) and 6:00 p.m. (Mexico City time) through the Parque Xcaret YouTube channel and will offer a tour of the history of the festival, its socio-cultural impact, and the artistic expressions that this Mexican tradition entails. This production will also show some of the iconic settings of the Xcaret park that are part of the festival every year, such as the Cemetery, the Crypt of Sighs, and the Hacienda Henequenera.

“For Grupo Xcaret, the Festival of Life and Death Traditions has great significance, not only because it allows us to enhance the value of a tradition so deeply rooted in the Mexican spirit as Day of the Dead is, but also because since its first edition in 2006, gives us the opportunity to show the richness of our culture and, above all, preserve the historical legacy of this celebration. So we want to thank everyone for their support and understanding and invite them to continue commemorating our traditions together. Technology this year will allow us to bring the festival to your homes, meanwhile, we will be preparing to receive them in 2021 at our Xcaret park and Hotel Xcaret México to enjoy it, experience it, and feel it in all its splendor ”added Lizeth Álvarez.

With this initiative, Grupo Xcaret reiterates its commitment to preserve the cultural richness of Mexico and to continue offering experiences that enhance the value and meaning of the traditions of our country.
