Tulum Launches Temporary Employment Program after Collecting Over 3,000 Tons of Sargassum

The municipality has collected a total of 3,074 tons of sargassum through July of this year, significantly exceeding figures from previous years. Juan Antonio Garza Pérez, director of the Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone (Zofemat), reported that 1,064 tons were removed in July alone, more than what was collected during the same period in 2024.
