According to an analysis by Rossy Rodríguez, commercial manager of AMSTAR DMC, there has been notable growth in tourist mobility to Tulum and Costa Mujeres in recent years. However, Rodríguez points out that Cancún continues to be the preferred destination for travelers, capturing more than 80% of the demand.

This increase in Tulum and Costa Mujeres is attributed to various tourism development initiatives and their growing popularity due to their natural attractions and service offerings. Nonetheless, Cancún remains the undisputed leader in the tourism sector, retaining its position as the most visited destination in the Mexican Caribbean.

Rodríguez emphasized the importance of continuing to promote these emerging destinations, which offer a unique experience for visitors. Although they currently represent only a fraction of the demand for Cancún, Rodríguez notes that Tulum and Costa Mujeres are on their way to becoming increasingly attractive alternatives for tourists.

The future of tourist mobility in the region appears promising, with competition between these destinations likely to benefit travelers by offering a range of options for enjoying the Caribbean paradise.
