Cancun.- The National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) reported another archaeological find on the route of the Mayan Train. It is a human figure carved in limestone, measuring 1.68 meters and without a head, which is believed to be the representation of the Mayan god Yum Keep.

The piece is part of the Puuc route, on the border with Campeche.

According to the person in charge of the work in the area, Luis Pantoja Díaz, the lithic figure was found in structure DZ7 of the Dzib Group, which was lying face up, associated with the slope of the stairway of said pyramid.

During the press conference that he offered in the archaeological zone, he highlighted the duality of the sculpture, since in the front part it represents a man, in which his genitals stand out, while in the back, the body is deformed, in such a way that can resemble a phallus.
