Its organizers continue working to ensure that, despite the change of date, the spirit of unity and pride is maintained.

Due to the current adverse weather conditions, the organizers of the Cancun Pride March 2024 have decided to postpone the event that was scheduled for June 22 at 4:30 pm.
The new date for the celebration will be July 6, 2024, as this decision was made with the aim of safeguarding the physical integrity of the attendees and in response to the recommendations issued by Civil Protection in light of the current weather conditions.
The organizers expressed their regret for the change of date, recognizing the importance of the march as a space for celebration and vindication for the LGBTQ+ community.
“This decision saddens us greatly, but we do it in order to safeguard the physical integrity of the attendees and on the recommendations of Civil Protection, to avoid any type of incident,” they indicated in an official statement.
The Cancun Pride March is an annual event that brings together thousands of people in a demonstration of pride, diversity and the fight for the rights of the LGBTQ+ community.
“We apologize in advance for any inconvenience we may have caused you, and we look forward to your support and attendance at the new date,” the organizers added. The decision is made in a context where the safety and well-being of attendees are the priority, ensuring that the event takes place in a safe and festive environment.
The local community and attendees from other regions who were planning to participate in the march have shown understanding of the decision, appreciating the organizers’ commitment to everyone’s safety. Activities and events parallel to the march will also be rescheduled to align with the new date, ensuring a full and meaningful celebration.
