Quintana Roo Residents to Receive Free Internet Chips After Being Left Behind in Initial Rollout

35

Residents who were initially selected as beneficiaries of the Conecta Quintana Roo program last year but failed to receive their free internet chips will have two chances to claim them, starting next week.

According to the operating rules of this social initiative, those eligible for the benefit can collect their SIM cards at designated local government offices. However, if they fail to do so within the allotted time frame, they may lose the benefit and be deregistered from the program.

The Quintana Roo government has published a schedule outlining the locations and dates where residents can pick up their free internet chips:

– Wednesday, May 14: SEBIEN Zona Sur (located in Plaza Manatí, Boulevard Bahía 301) in Chetumal’s Centro neighborhood

– Thursday, May 15: Teatro de la Ciudad (located at 2355 Benito Juárez Avenue) in Felipe Carrillo Puerto’s Centro neighborhood

– Friday, May 16: Domo del Parque Dos Aguas (located at 1066 Alfa Sur Street) in Tulum’s Centro neighborhood

To receive the Conecta Quintana Roo chip with free internet, beneficiaries are required to bring the following documents:

1. The physical phone number on which the SIM card will be installed

2. An original and copy of a valid government-issued ID

3. Proof of address not older than three months

4. Proof of being a beneficiary under the program

The Quintana Roo government implemented this calendar to facilitate the distribution process, allowing eligible residents two opportunities to collect their free internet chips.
