In Playa Delfines, Cancún, a beautiful sculpture has been installed, allowing you to capture a memorable photo during your trip. However, is it better than the Poseidon statue that surprised visitors in the sea of Progreso, Yucatán?
Recently, the Secretariat of Tourism and the Municipality of Benito Juárez (Cancún) announced the installation of a sculpture at Playa Delfines, one of the most famous beaches in this destination. The sculpture, divided into two parts, features five dolphins and is strategically placed for tourists and locals to take memorable photos.
It’s worth noting that this sculpture was previously located in Parque de las Palapas, but now you can find it between the sidewalk and a viewpoint at Playa Delfines.
On the other hand, Progreso, Yucatán, surprised the world with the imposing Poseidon figure installed without prior notice along the city’s malecón (boardwalk). This nearly three-meter-tall sculpture stands out for its intricate craftsmanship and majestic representation of the god of the sea.
With his trident in hand, meticulously sculpted crown, hair, and beard, and a posture that emphasizes his power and dominance, the Poseidon of Progreso has become an unmistakable landmark for both tourists and locals.
