Cancun.- Work in coordination between the Ministerial Police and Quintana Roo, resulted in the arrest of 10 people, the release of mother and child, as well as the seizure of weapons, drugs and ammunition in two operations.
The operations began this afternoon in Santa Fe Plus, on Avenida 127 with Calle Mediterráneo, where, after intelligence work by the Ministerial Police, seven people were located who had deprived a woman and her son of their liberty.
During the operation, two R15 type long weapons, two squad pistols, a revolver, ammunition for short and long weapons, as well as various drug packages were seized.
It turned out that the victims would be executed, but the intervention of the authorities allowed the woman and the young man to save themselves.
Hours later, already during the night, the authorities again in coordination managed to arrest three subjects who had in their possession an R15, AK47, ammunition, ballistic vests, and presumably tactical equipment, which would be related to the first seven.
The detainees were said to have been identified as Irving and / or Bernardino N, 19; Mario Saúl, 42; Juan Oswaldo of 32; Rodolfo David, 28; Roberto N, 29, all of them from Jalisco, and Isauro N, 39, from Chiapas, and the Cuban Renier N, 40, were also arrested.
During the first investigations, it was commented that one of the detainees is allegedly active personnel of the Secretary of the Navy, although this has not been officially confirmed.
It was learned that the insured are involved in more high-impact criminal acts in the city, as in the case of region 232 where two brothers were kidnapped and days later they were executed; finding their bodies d squatted in two different points of the city.
