Mexicana de Aviación announced that on Monday, August 25, it will operate the first commercial flight of its new Embraer aircraft from Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) to Tulum International Airport, with a fare double that of other airlines.
According to the Mexican state airline’s reservations portal, departure will be at 10:00 a.m. with an expected arrival at 12:55 p.m. Tickets have a maximum price of 4,029 pesos, with checked baggage of up to 15 kilograms.
This flight is part of a strategy to consolidate air connectivity to Tulum, an emerging tourist destination in the Mexican Caribbean, whose airport, named Felipe Carrillo Puerto, was officially inaugurated on December 1, 2023.
