After months of delay due to adjustments in the Mayan Train route, maintenance work is scheduled to commence on Highway 307, which connects Cancun to Tulum, this month. This development has been welcomed by Toni Chávez, president of the Riviera Maya Hotel Association, who emphasized the importance of this road for tourism in the region.

Highway 307 serves as a crucial link between 12 key destinations in the area, and its maintenance will contribute significantly to ensuring the safety and comfort of both residents and tourists. To keep stakeholders informed about the progress and deadlines for the work, Chávez has announced plans to convene a meeting with the state government.

The primary focus of the maintenance intervention will be on the northern section of the highway, where significant deterioration has been observed. By addressing this issue, it is expected that the overall security for both residents and visitors will be enhanced.
