Former Quintana Roo governor Roberto Borge linked to charges of illicit use of power

Chetumal, Quintana Roo. — Additional charges have been formally brought against former Quintana Roo governor Roberto Borge. The prosecutor’s office announced its success in “a new connection to the process against Roberto N (Roberto Borge), former governor of the state of Quintana Roo, for the crime of illicit use of power in relation to fie number 151/2017 ”.

The crime is allegedly related to the subcontracting of air services to the parastatal company VIP Servicios Aéreos Executive SA de CV and the alleged diversion of 594 million pesos between 2011 and 2013.

The prosecutor’s office stressed that Borge will remain in the federal prison of Ayala, in the State of Morelos.

Borge made the headlines two weeks ago when he got married inside the facilities of the Federal Center for Psychosocial Rehabilitation in the municipality of Ayala,  Morelos where he is imprisoned.

Morelos state authorities confirmed the news and it was revealed that he married  Norma Patricia de la Vega,  winner of the Nuestra Belleza Sinaloa beauty pageant and a contender for Miss Mexico.
