On May 7, businessman Pedro Luis Martín Bringas declared in a video published in the account @OfficialFrenaaa  that he aims to remove López Obrador from his position as president.

We want  FRENAAA to be the trigger for Mr. López Obrador to go home before December 1st and save this country, ”explains the businessman in the video.

After the recording was published, the Board of Directors of Soriana decided to remove Martín Bringas from that body   in his capacity as alternate director.

The scenes have also been repeated in the city of Querétaro and in the municipality of San Juan del Río (Querétaro), where dozens of citizens aboard their vehicles, claim to disagree with the actions that the president has taken in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the rejection of the construction of the Maya Train or the brake on clean energy.

Coronavirus paints Mexico in RED

Despite the fact that as of this Friday, May 29, Mexico reported 84,627 accumulated confirmed cases of Covid-19, 16,209 active cases and 9,415 deaths since that same day the federal government itself presented a map of the country where 31 states (except Zacatecas) they are painted red , which means the maximum risk of contagion; Andrés Manuel López Obrador determined that as of June 1, the country will return to what it has called “the new normal”.

However, several specialists have warned that lifting confinement as infections continue to rise is a hasty decision.

“ In no way have we concluded the first wave (of contagion) in fact we have not even reached the plateau. According to daily technical reports, there is no evidence that the number of infections is already decreasing. What we have seen is that the epidemic is on the up and at least two weeks should go by without these increases to speak of a lack of confidence, “said Alejandro Macías, member of the commission of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) to attend the coronavirus and who spoke with El Universal .

“It seems to me that right now we cannot put an agenda on the virus (…) the pandemic is not yet going to make those kinds of plans,” he said.

The federal government’s decision has been severely questioned by specialists and journalists. One of the most critical positions was that of the communicator Ciro Gómez Leyva who, during his nightly newscast, questioned the decisions that the Mexican government made to face this health emergency and even described as “disastrous” the forecast made by the undersecretary of Prevention and Promotion of Health regarding how the disease would progress in the country.

“What would Mexicans have said when the National Sana Distancia Day was announced if they knew that at the end of the road, that is, that today the country would continue to be painted red? With signs of ‘stop’, ‘do not pass’, ‘do not do’, ‘do not leave’ … ‘do not live’ ”, he commented.

In addition, he presented a graph where he showed that the number of infections by the time the government expected the peak of the pandemic, that is, between May 6 and 8, was 1,830; However, he compared it with the cases registered on Friday, May 29, which were 3,227 people with the disease.

“83% higher than predicted by Dr. López-Gatell. On that forecast public policies were aligned, on that calculation, the arrival was projected on Monday, June 1, which has already arrived, which is already around the corner.

That is the disaster. Who is in charge of the lousy forecast in the government of President López Obrador? Nobody ” , he concluded
