A Cuban man reported on social media the theft of a Gucci women’s handbag valued at 35,000 Mexican pesos (approximately $2,000). The accusation is directed at the workers of Terminal 3 at Cancun Airport in Mexico.

Identified on TikTok as marsito79, this Cuban detailed that he flew with United Airlines from the popular Mexican tourist destination to Houston Airport in Texas. Upon opening his suitcase, he realized that the handbag, which was a gift for his wife’s birthday, had been stolen.

The purpose of his video, he commented, is to warn anyone traveling to Cancun to be careful with their belongings.

He stated that upon arriving in Houston, he noticed the box carrying the handbag was broken and the item was missing.

“When I handed over my suitcase in Cancun, I explained that I had a handbag, and yet they stole it. So, I’m making this video as a record,” he expressed.

The Cuban man was filing a claim at the airline’s office in Houston, hoping for a quick response to this theft.

Mexican media have also echoed the report of this theft.
