Navy personnel secured a package with 30 kilograms of cocaine in Mahahual, which were made available to the FGR
Mahahual Quintana Roo.- Yesterday afternoon a package with almost 30 kilograms of cocaine was seized by elements of the Coast Guard 39 kilometers southeast of Mahahual, in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco.
This was reported by the Secretariat of the Navy of Mexico, through a statement, in which it details that 30 packages of white powder inside, which had characteristics similar to cocaine hydrochloride with an approximate weight of 30 kilograms.
This discovery occurred on Monday afternoon and was carried out when naval personnel aboard a Defender-type vessel belonging to the Naval Search, Rescue, and Maritime Surveillance Station (ENSAR) of Chetumal carried out routine patrols in the middle of the coast of Quintana. Roo.
Later, the packages found were transferred to the mainland, to be made available to the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), where the weight of the alleged drug was officially revealed.
Finally, it should be mentioned that the authorities did not report if there were people detained during the operation and the representation of the Attorney General’s Office in Chetumal will be responsible for integrating the corresponding evidence into the investigation folder, to later proceed with the respective demarcation of responsibilities.
