Cancún: Two are arrested for human trafficking and a minor under 14 years of age is rescued in an internet cafe

According to the Quintana Roo Prosecutor’s Office, the minor was sexually exploited in the Internet cafe, where, after a search, they found child pornography.

The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Quintana Roo reported this Tuesday on the arrest of two individuals, identified as Jesús del Carmen “N” and Eduardo “N”, for their alleged participation in the crime of human trafficking in the form of production of pornographic material.

This action was carried out after the execution of a search warrant in an Internet cafe, which was issued by a control judge.

At the internet cafe, authorities seized several sexual items, including condoms and lubricants, as well as computer equipment that stored child pornographic material. Additionally, during the operation, a 14-year-old girl was rescued, who was probably a prostitute at the location.

The Prosecutor’s Office had initiated a previous investigation in which evidence related to this criminal activity was collected. Based on the evidence collected, the search warrant was obtained from the Control Judge, which was executed by the Investigative Police.

Forensic specialists from various areas processed the scene and collected evidence, which will be incorporated into the ongoing investigation folder.

The two defendants, along with the evidence collected, were presented before a control judge, who ordered that they remain in justified preventive detention while their legal situation is resolved.
