A man identified as Eder Alexis “N” has been arrested by authorities in Quintana Roo for allegedly assaulting a foreign tourist at Cancún International Airport. The arrest comes after a video was shared on social media showing the suspect attempting to prevent a woman from boarding an Uber vehicle.
According to preliminary investigations, the suspect is employed by a private taxi company operating at Terminal 3 of the airport. His role involves ensuring that only authorized taxi vehicles provide service to tourists within the terminal area.
The arrest also revealed that Eder Alexis “N” was in possession of marijuana-like herb and crystal meth at the time of his detention. These substances were found among his belongings during a search by law enforcement officials.
Following standard procedures, the suspect has been transferred to the Public Prosecutor’s Office for processing and determination of his legal status within the established timeframe.
The Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office has reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the principle of zero impunity, vowing to bring perpetrators of crimes to justice without distinction.
